All Star Fayrouza - Luxury Nile River Cruises

Experience the Nile River which flows northward from Central Africa to the Mediterranean Sea – a total of nearly 4,200 miles. Throughout thousands of years, the river has played a critical role in Egypt’s history and culture, and the development of cities along or near its banks. The sole source of water for the region, fertile grounds surrounding this body of water, caused by flooding, have allowed agriculture to thrive in an otherwise arid region.

The optimum experience for visitors to explore Egypt’s historic sights is by taking a 130-mile (220 km) Nile River cruise. The best cruising options are between Luxor to the north and Aswan to the south, a 5-day journey due to the direction of the river’s flow, or from Aswan to the south to Luxor to the north, a 4-day journey

While many of the vessels are mere sources of transportation, a select few dominate the luxury end of the spectrum, leaving guests to feel as if they are staying at a floating 5-star resort.

One of those vessels is All Star Fayrouza. Designed as a boutique Nile cruise, Fayrouza accommodates a maximum of just 26 guests in 12 spacious, luxury staterooms, creating an intimate and uncrowded onboard atmosphere. This smaller scale allows our dedicated crew to truly get to know each guest, delivering warm, attentive, and highly personalized service throughout the journey—an experience that feels exclusive, relaxed, and exceptionally well cared for.

The Fayrouza logo showcases a modern adaptation of the mythical symbol, Ankh, representing life and immortality. Often referred to as the Key of the Nile, it means the union of men and women, particularly Osiris and Isis. When the Nile floods, it fertilizes the soil, which is critical for life and agriculture to thrive.

Shallow-hulled sailboats that traverse the Nile are known as Dahabiya (pronounced dah-ha-bay-ah). Modeled after Egypt’s traditional felucca boats, dahabiyas combine classic charm with spacious accommodations and modern amenities. All Star Fayrouza strives to balance an authentic Egyptian experience with luxury.

Cairo Tours

Contact Us for Options

Cairo is filled with attractions highlighting Ancient Egypt’s past through present day. Our all-inclusive packages are led by professional Egyptologist tour guides, travel adventurers can explore the Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Sakkara Necropolis, Coptic Cairo and Cairo Citadel, among many other sites.

Cuisine

Our chef and culinary staff highlight traditional Egyptian cuisine and, with advance notice, strive to accommodate those with special dietary concerns as sourcing allows. For those who are adventure seekers interested in learning about an area’s local culture and customs, we encourage our guests to be open to the unique flavors of Egypt and the region. All rivers and their creatures play an essential role in the circle of life. It is our goal to maintain a sustainable environment in an ecologically conscious way.

Entertainment

Onboard entertainment is not a standard Dahabiya experience. On our three and four-day cruises between Aswan and Luxor, our guests are in for a treat. Dive into Egyptian culture. Aswan is known for its Nubian village folkloric dancers who showcase their native dress and movement to percussion instruments.

Tanoura (translating to the word “skirt”) Dance dates back to ancient times and was part of the community’s social life and celebrations. Men twirl a colorful skirt, sometimes with lights, and is said to evoke the performer’s spiritual connection.

Temperatures

Located in the Northern Hemisphere, the Nile River is in or near the Tropic of Cancer, resulting in subtropical weather. The weather conditions are the cause of the Sahara Desert. Like many rivers, the Nile River area can be humid.

Because Aswan and Luxor are only 130 miles (220 km) apart, they share a hot desert climate. The temperatures along the Nile River have four distinct seasons: the coolest months are from December to February. Transitional weather occurs during a short period in March and April, and October and November, respectively. Very hot summer weather with temperatures above 100º can occur from May to September. For these reasons, the best time to cruise the Nile is from October to April.

Pre & Post Tours

Our two most popular pre and post tours are near Aswan and Luxor.

The Great Temple of Abu Simbel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in Southern Egypt dates back to 1264 BC. Commissioned by King Ramesses II, during Egypt 19th Dynasty, the temple is carved into the rock. At its main entrance, four larger-than-life-size statues in seated positions greet visitors. Continue inside to view four god-like versions of the king. The nearby Small Temple is dedicated to the king’s wife, Queen Nefertari, the goddess of motherhood, love, fertility and music.

Luxor Hot Air Balloon Rides allow adventure seekers to see an expansive view of the Sahara and Arabian Desert from high above. Many of the temples may seem gigantic up close, but taking a balloon ride provides an entirely different perspective. Gain a fuller appreciation of the temples’ proximity to one another. Remember to bring your camera to capture the experience.
