Scheduled departures are designed for guests who want to maximize their time in the water, offering up to four dives or snorkeling opportunities each day, complemented by a daily island excursion to some of the Exuma Cays’ most iconic destinations. Whether you’re exploring colorful coral reefs, relaxing on a secluded beach, hiking through a national park or visiting the famous Swimming Pigs, every day combines incredible underwater adventures with memorable island experiences.

Because these departures follow a carefully planned itinerary shared with fellow guests, daily activities and destinations cannot be customized for individual reservations. Guests seeking a personalized itinerary are encouraged to reserve the yacht as a private charter.

Accommodations

Designed for just 12 guests, All Star Cat Ppalu offers a cozy, laid-back atmosphere where personalized service and camaraderie are all part of the experience. The yacht’s six (6) cabins provide comfortable accommodations after a full day of diving, snorkeling and exploring the islands.

The Vessel

As vessels go, sailboats are well-designed, compact boats built on efficiency in layout and wind power. While sailors spend time below deck for sleeping and some meals, most of the action and relaxation occur in the open air.

All Star Cat Ppalu is perfect for small groups, families and friends. This schooner-rigged catamaran was designed to create space for everyone to share while still allowing for privacy. Private cabins can accommodate up to 12 guests in four (4) double beds and four (4) twin beds.

Saturday – Welcome Aboard
Board All Star Cat Ppalu in Nassau, meet your captain and crew and settle into your cabin. After everyone is onboard and lunch has been served, All Star Cat Ppalu casts off and begins sailing toward the beautiful Exuma Cays. Along the way, take in your first views of the turquoise Bahamian waters, unwind on the bow trampolines and get acquainted with your fellow guests before enjoying your first dinner onboard. We spend the evening anchored beneath the stars.

Sunday – Into the Exumas
Wake up surrounded by crystal-clear Bahamian waters and begin exploring the Exuma Cays. Enjoy up to four (4) dives or snorkeling opportunities throughout the day with time to relax on a secluded beach or enjoy paddleboarding or kayaking between dives. Return to All Star Cat Ppalu for dinner and another peaceful evening at anchor.

Monday – Wildlife & Island Exploration
Visit Allen’s Cay, home to the indigenous Bahamian rock iguanas. Observe these fascinating reptiles in their natural habitat, spot colorful banaquits, snorkel from the beach and enjoy another full day of diving or snorkeling at nearby reefs before returning onboard for dinner.

Tuesday – Warderick Wells Park Adventure
Explore the heart of the Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park with a visit to the Warderick Wells Headquarters. Hike to the famous Boo Boo Hill for panoramic views, explore the dramatic blowholes and snorkel an airplane wreck before continuing the day’s diving or snorkeling adventures. End the day with dinner onboard, while anchored in one of the Exuma Cays’ protected coves.

Wednesday – Mangroves & Marine Life
Spend the day exploring some of the Exuma Cays’ most spectacular dive and snorkel sites, with up to four (4) opportunities to get in the water. Between dives, paddle or kayak through the winding mangrove channels of Shroud Cay, also known as Camp Driftwood, or simply relax onboard and soak in the scenery.

Thursday – A Perfect Finale
Enjoy one last morning exploring the incredible reefs of the Exuma Cays with up to two (2) final dives or snorkeling opportunities before All Star Cat Ppalu begins the journey back to Nassau shortly after lunch. After returning to the dock, unwind onboard or take advantage of the resort amenities before gathering with your fellow guests for a farewell celebration. Enjoy a delicious dinner onboard or, if you prefer, the crew will prepare a poolside beach barbecue for one last evening in the Bahamas.

Friday – Departure
Enjoy breakfast onboard before saying goodbye to the captain, crew and your fellow guests. Depart with unforgettable memories of your Bahamas sailing adventure and plans to return again soon.

Private charter itineraries are fully customizable and may vary based on your group’s interests, weather conditions, sea conditions and seasonal opportunities. Scheduled departure itineraries are subject to weather and operational considerations and may vary from week to week.

Deposits / Payments

Individuals – $500.00 per person confirms the space. The balance is due 4 months prior to departure. Bahama taxes and port fees are due with the final payment.
Charters — $1,000.00 deposit required within 10 days to confirm reservation, $2,000.00 deposit due 9 months prior to departure, $3,000.00 due 6 months prior, and final payment due 4 months prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy

Individuals:

More than 6 months prior to departure, a full refund, less a 5% cancellation fee.
Less than 6 months prior to departure, all payments are forfeited.

If the trip departs full, we will issue a full refund, less 5% cancellation fee.

NOTE: Policy for Trip Interruption Due to a Named Storm: A future credit will be offered for any missed days, with no expiration date for using the credit. We understand your busy schedules and the need to plan. There is no refund for cancellations due to weather.

Travel Protection

It is recommended that all passengers purchase travel protection to help protect themselves and their trip investment. It is also recommended that all divers have diving accident insurance. For more information and to purchase dive and travel insurance, visit the providers below:

Travelex: Travel protection for a single trip. You may choose the ULTIMATE policy and select the optional ADVENTURE COVERAGE upgrade, which waives the policy exclusions for extreme sports such as scuba diving at depths more than 75′. Purchase of Travelex insurance must be within 21 days of your initial deposit date to be eligible for pre-existing medical condition coverage and certain trip cancellation or interruption reasons.

FAQs

Can I rent dive gear on the All Star Cat Ppalu?

If you do not have your own equipment, we have Scuba Pro “top of the line” dive gear available for rent. For rates, click here. Please request these items on your Trip Application. Payment is made while on board. All rentals must be arranged prior to departure, they aren’t stored at the dock. We have BCs, regulators, dive computers, wetsuits, dive lights, fins and masks.

How do I get to the All Star Cat Ppalu dock?

The All Star Cat Ppalu docks at the Nassau Harbour Club Marina on East Bay Street, right across from the Starbucks. The ride is approximately 30-40 minutes from the airport to the dock. It is not that far but slow down, Mon! You are on island time now. If you need ground transfers while in Nassau, we can assist. You can make the ground transfer arrangements online or call our office at least 5 days prior to your departure. For each pick-up, the cost is $20.00 per person one-way. If you prefer to take a taxi or miss the cut-off date, taxis are readily available at the airport. The cost will be $55.00 or more if there are more than 2 of you.

What time can we board Cat Ppalu?

You may board after 12:00pm on Saturday. We plan to shove off by 3:00pm at the latest to make the trip from Nassau to the Exumas during daylight hours. We can, of course, stay longer to accommodate later arrivals as this is a charter only vessel. Keep in mind that if it gets too late, then the captain may decide to leave early Sunday morning instead of Saturday afternoon for safety reasons.

What time do we disembark the Cat Ppalu?

The Cat Ppalu returns to Nassau Thursday afternoon, usually by 5:00pm at the latest. We still serve dinner and provide lodging at the dock. This is your night in port so that you can experience some of the local culture. All passengers must disembark Friday by 9:00am.

Will I see sharks while diving on the All Star Cat Ppalu?

Yes, Caribbean reef sharks and nurse sharks frequent many of our sites. We normally offer 1 shark feed on each trip. This is the perfect time to see sharks up close and in action!
